SermonBridge ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SermonBridge mobile application and website at sermonbridge.org. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
From Organization Administrators
- Email address — used for passwordless login and account communications
- Organization name, denomination, and website — displayed on your public landing page
- Logo image URL — displayed to listeners
- Purchase and subscription information — processed securely by Stripe; we never receive or store card details
From Listeners (sermon attendees)
- We do not collect any personal information from listeners
- Listeners do not create accounts and are not tracked
- Live audio translations are streamed in real time and are not retained as recordings; separately, an administrator may opt into publishing archive media, which is retained under the church plan
Automatically Collected
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and debugging — retained for 30 days
- Session duration and translation minutes for billing purposes
- Essential cookies and local storage only for language, session, and application preferences. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
2. Microphone and Camera
Microphone: The speaker app accesses your device microphone solely to capture audio for real-time translation. Audio is processed by Deepgram for speech recognition, translated by DeepL, and converted to speech by Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. Raw audio is not stored on our servers after processing. A pastor voice sample is sent to ElevenLabs only after the required administrator and speaker consent is recorded.
Camera: The app accesses your camera only to scan QR codes to join a translation session. No images or video are stored.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the translation service
- To send login links and account notifications via email
- To process voluntary donations via Stripe
- To generate AI-formatted sermon transcripts (stored per your account)
- To calculate usage for plan enforcement
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not run Google Analytics, Umami, or other event analytics; no analytics network requests are made.

5. Data Storage and Security
Tenant account data is stored on secure servers. Session tokens are signed JWTs (not encrypted tokens). All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/WSS. Transient live audio is discarded after processing; opted-in published archive media is retained under the church plan.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active
- Sermon transcripts: retained until you delete them
- Published archive media (audio and translated editions): retained according to the church plan and deleted when the church or account administrator requests deletion or the applicable retention period ends
- Magic login tokens: deleted after use or after 15 minutes
- Server logs: 30 days
- Cloned voice data: created only with documented consent; the consent may be revoked and the sample, clone, and related ElevenLabs data can be deleted by contacting us
7. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@mccounseling.org. We will process requests within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
SermonBridge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify account holders of material changes via email.

11. Cookies, support, archives, and voice consent
Support conversations, including messages sent to our support team or assistant, are used to answer requests and may be retained with the account record. We use essential cookies and local storage for operation only. Non-essential analytics are disabled, so we do not track visits or events.
- Archive audio and translated media are retained according to the church plan and the published archive settings; administrators may request deletion.
- Voice cloning is optional. We obtain consent from the administrator and the speaker before sending a voice sample to ElevenLabs. Consent can be revoked and deletion of the sample, cloned voice, and related data requested at any time.
- Live speech processing uses Deepgram (speech recognition), DeepL (translation), and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (speech synthesis). ElevenLabs is used only for an opted-in cloned voice.
