SermonBridge ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SermonBridge mobile application and website at sermonbridge.org. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
From Organization Administrators
- Email address — used for passwordless login and account communications
- Organization name, denomination, and website — displayed on your public landing page
- Logo image URL — displayed to listeners
- Purchase and subscription information — processed securely by Stripe; we never receive or store card details
From Listeners (sermon attendees)
- We do not collect any personal information from listeners
- Listeners do not create accounts and are not tracked
- Audio translations are streamed in real time and not stored
Automatically Collected
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and debugging — retained for 30 days
- Session duration and translation minutes for billing purposes
2. Microphone and Camera
Microphone: The speaker app accesses your device microphone solely to capture audio for real-time translation. Audio is processed by Deepgram for speech recognition, translated by DeepL, and converted to speech by Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. Raw audio is not stored on our servers after processing.
Camera: The app accesses your camera only to scan QR codes to join a translation session. No images or video are stored.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the translation service
- To send login links and account notifications via email
- To process voluntary donations via Stripe
- To generate AI-formatted sermon transcripts (stored per your account)
- To calculate usage for plan enforcement
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security
Tenant account data is stored on secure servers. Session tokens use industry-standard JWT encryption. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/WSS. We do not store raw audio.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active
- Sermon transcripts: retained until you delete them
- Magic login tokens: deleted after use or after 15 minutes
- Server logs: 30 days
7. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@mccounseling.org. We will process requests within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
SermonBridge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify account holders of material changes via email.
